1) Make sure you're in a comfortable situation. This could go in 2 directions,
- A public place would force them not to make a scene,
- A private place could be more open to communication,
- It could be both situations depending on how you handle it.
2) Bring up the topic casually, and not adressing yourself specifically,
- How do you feel about TS?
- Does gender really play a role in society?
- I'm sure eventually some kind of topic will lead to setting them up in this mannor,
- Adress the matter seriously.
3) Though many taboos shouldn't be anymore don't say everything,
- Things will reveal themselves in time,
- Unless specifically asked, don't say yet how long ago you transitioned; tell that later,
- Don't say all the methods used to hide it.
4) Expect that things will be different,
- They may or may not believe if you say "I'm still the same person,"
- Try not to have anything of alarm for the next while. This is kinda big so they'll be on edge,
- Try tto at least enforce that you're still a family and care for each other.
This may not be the best way,but that's how I'd attempt it.
